From 18:00 - 19:15 - we will be raising a glass to absent friends in a very special place to us in a pub called The Ferry Inn in Salcombe. Unfortunately due to the new extortionate prices for a beverage in this place it means we will be moving about 5 minutes down the high street to a pub called The Kings Arms for a few before we say I do.
Time: 19:20 - 21:00
Location: The Kings Arms
18 Fore St, Salcombe TQ8 8BU

Saturday 18th September *THE WEDDING DAY*
Ceremony: 15:00

Address: East Portlemouth, Devon TQ8 8PA
Please contact Hamish and Ben Wilson with any issues on the day (please see above for details)
Wedding Day
Private boats - for the weddings party's exclusive use.
Skippers name: Andy Wheeler (and friend)
Boat pick up point address Salcombe: The Normandy Pontoon, Salcombe Harbour Devon
Boat drop off point #1: East Portalmouth Landing (as the tide is rising) - 10 minute walk to the venue
Boat drop off point #2: Venues private mooring - Port Waterhouse (as the tide has risen/ high tide)
The crossing from Salvombe to Port Waterhouse is 8-10 minutes each way, please arrive at the wedding venue by 14:45 at the latest, ready for the brides arrival at 15:00.
***Please let us know ASAP whether you will require the boat as your preferred option of transport*** once we have the numbers confirmed we will group you together and send your departure time. Andy the skipper can only allow 20 people on the boat at any time, so please don't be late. If you think you might be delayed on the day, please let Hamish or Ben know ASAP. If we do not hear from you then we will assume you have found alternative transport.
One of the bestmen will be at the Normandy Pontoon, East Portlemouth Landing and the venue's private mooring should you have any issues or queries.
Once you arrive at the venue, you will be greeted by one of the bestman (there are 6 in total) and shown to the Boathouse where the ceremony will take place. Should the weather gods not be on our side, there will be umbrellas provided.
Ladies, we would recommend wedges to be worn as there are a couple of steep walkways/ grass. We will however provide heel protectors and flip flops to rest your dancing feet, so feel free to wear some fabulous stilettos, we've got you covered!
If you're walking from the East Portlemouth Landing (pontoon) to the venue, you will need to walk up the steps to the road, from there you take a left where you will pass a little café and public loos. Keep following that road for a further 9 minutes and then you will start to see signs for the wedding venue.
Carriages will be at between 23:30 - 00:00
As the tide will be at its lowest at the time of departure, we ask that the guests who will require the private boat back to Salcombe, to walk along the beach front (this will all be lit up by lanterns) to the East Portlemouth Landing where Andy will be waiting. This will take you about 10 minutes to walk (zig zag). Again, if you require the boat back, please let us know ASAP. Please also let us know if you need to leave early and we will discuss options with you.
Alternatively, if you wish to take taxis please do pre-book your taxis ASAP as they get booked up very quickly in Salcombe.
Taxi timings to and from the venue:
